Our very own Vicky Myers, who plays Lisa Swain, was named Celebrity Ally of the Year in the 2025 Diva Awards
Diva Magazine’s annual awards ceremony took place in London last night, Friday 24th April. Vicky Myers had been shortlisted for ‘Celebrity Ally of the Year’ for 2025, an award given to a public figure who uses their platform to champion LGBTQIA+ rights and visibility.
Vicky was honoured with the award, beating the likes of Michelle Visage, Dannii Minogue and David Tennant!
Coronation Street received a ‘highly commended’ nod for ‘Media Moment of the Year’, which was Carla and Lisa’s romance storyline.
I think everyone will agree, she brings much needed, and refreshing, representation to the LGBTQ+ community, and thoroughly deserves all the recognition for her incredible portrayal of Swain in Coronation Street.
