Carla was absent from this episode, and we only got a few scenes with Lisa in them, but it was fantastic to see her back at the station, fighting crime (and ignoring her only kid, as per, as Betsy would say).
Lisa asked Kit to interview a suspect, but not before cracking a height jokes about his criminal record being as long as Kit. Kit looked visibly ruffled when Lisa revealed the suspects full name, and as she left the room, she seemed unconvinced when he’d said there was no problem. Could the suspect, Mick, have something to do with the upcoming flashback storyline involving the copper?
Later, we saw Lisa speak to Kit at the Bistro, asking him why he left certain questions out of the interview with Mick. She eventually told him to get back to his date with Sarah Platt.
Lisa’s final scene in this episode was interviewing cobbles resident Eileen, over the death of her sister. Eileen’s prescription drugs had been found on Julie when she died, but she was insistent that she had nothing to do with her sister’s death.
We know Eileen is leaving the street soon, could this be part of her exit storyline?
I did say today’s episode was a short one for Swarla scenes! But Carla and Betsy are back on Monday according to the episode guides, so we’ll see you then!
