In today’s episode, we saw Lisa still feeling down about police officers who have been unable to go back to their jobs after traumatic events. Carla reassured her that the therapy sessions are going to benefit her, that the police force wouldn’t have set her up with Floyd if he wasn’t any good. Lisa told her girlfriend he needed to be able to perform miracles, before apologising and acknowledging that she hadn’t been her self.

Over at the factory, Carla was distracted when Michael asked to borrow her laptop to use the printer. When he noticed a request for a prison visiting order on the screen, he questioned Carla about why she wanted to go and see Logan Radcliffe, the man who tried to kill her. Carla told Michael that Lisa needed answers, and she was determined to help, especially after Logan tried to extort money from Betsy.

Back at the flat, it was clear Lisa had perked up a bit, and was making an effort. She’d set the table for dinner, along with candles, and told Carla it wasn’t much, just fish, chips and mousse de petit pois. Classic.
An incredibly soft scene followed, with Carla telling her girlfriend that she was there to be a metaphorical punching bag, although Lisa disagreed and said she was going to put all of her effort into getting her career back on track.

It transpired she had run Carla a bath, and she told her to go and jump in while she nipped to the chippy for their takeaway. Now, either Weatherfield has Manchester’s slowest chip shop, or I take outrageously long bubble baths. There’s no way I’d be done in the short amount of time it would take to pop to the chip shop!

As Lisa left, we saw Carla text Michael and thank him for his advice, that contacting Logan would be a bad idea.
