This episode picked up right where Wednesday’s left off, with Craig flatlining and Kirk asking why the medical staff were stopping working on him. News quickly reached Lisa and Kit at the police station, via call from Jess to inform them Craig had passed away.

Lisa was next seen interviewing Lou about the whereabouts of her husband, and the domestic disturbance call Craig was responding to at their house earlier that day. Lou is later released from questioning, but not before Lisa asks her why she won’t cooperate in turning in a man that’s clearly abusing her. Lou stressed that maybe that was the whole reason she couldn’t and walked away, leaving Lisa to think about what she said.

We then saw Kit apologise to Lisa, admitting that he should have been with Craig that day. Hopefully that will help ease some of the guilt Lisa was clearly feeling over P.C. Tinker being out on patrol on his own.
Next up in the interview room was Mick, after he was apprehended by Kit (and Bernie!). Lisa ran through all the evidence against him, and left him alone to discuss the way forward with his solicitor. After he read out a prepared statement, he admitted to having an alibi in the form of his son, Brody, not knowing the teen was currently in a police cell, where he had been most of the day.
When Lisa informed him his alibi wasn’t going to hold up, and charged him with murder, it was clear he knew there was no way out of it now.

Finally, we saw Lisa arrive home to a post-bath Carla, reading on the couch. Carla starts telling her girlfriend all about the lovely bath she’d just had, before realising Lisa had left the door open. As she got up to shut it, and remove Lisa’s keys from the door, she noticed her girlfriend doubled over in the kitchen, having broken down in tears. At her side within seconds, she picked her up, and wrapped her arms around her for comfort.

The two of them then sat on the couch and spoke about losing Craig, and how his future had been ripped away from him. Lisa delivered a resounding monologue about how life needs to be lived to the full, as we’re not guaranteed tomorrow.
And as for the what happened next, well, I’m going to let this video speak for itself.
What will Carla say? Monday feels too far away! For now, you can read why I think this was actually the perfect time for a proposal.
