As we head into July, let’s take a look at everything that happened in June
June in Weatherfield brought the heat – both literally and emotionally. From ghostly sightings and drag nights to drink-spiking dramas and tender moments, this month packed more punch than a Rovers Return lock-in. Our beloved Lisa and Carla navigated murky waters of grief, guilt, and glitter, while the younger crowd dealt with underage drinking, teenage angst, and mystery illnesses. Let’s unravel the juiciest storylines from the five pivotal Swarla centric episodes that from June 2025.

Monday 9th June 2025
Lisa’s frayed nerves were on full display following Craig’s death and Carla’s not-quite-yes to her marriage proposal. Exhausted and emotionally raw, Lisa lashed out at Betsy for hogging the laptop and admitted she wasn’t sleeping. She left for work early, dodging Carla’s ‘love you too’ with a slammed door. Oof.
Outside the station, Lisa ran into Kit – literally – and they shared an awkward chat about Craig’s memorial. Kit had been asked to speak, and Lisa confessed she wasn’t good at public speaking. Maybe grief’s still a locked box she can’t open?
Later, Brody approached Lisa with a vendetta: he wanted to file a complaint against Kit, claiming he’d orchestrated an attack on Brody’s dad in prison. Lisa dismissed it – maybe too quickly.
Meanwhile, Betsy got into it with Sally at the factory, who accused her of slacking. Carla, in full ‘queen of everything at her gaff’ mode, shut down Sally’s complaints with a classic blunt snap. Back home, things stayed frosty. Lisa rejected Carla’s dinner and stormed off, insisting she was “fine” (spoiler alert, she was absolutely not fine).
Carla invited Roy to join her for dinner, and later confided in Betsy – Lisa’s spiralling, and she’s not letting her crash. Not on her watch.

Wednesday 11th June 2025
After Monday’s icy tension, Lisa made a bit of a U-turn, kicking off the day with an apology to Carla and a confession that she doesn’t handle kindness well. Carla, ever patient, accepted the olive branch, possibly thanks to Roy’s recent wisdom, and the pair reset, albeit briefly.
As they prepared for Craig’s memorial, Lisa clashed with Betsy over some suspiciously off-limits files. At the Bistro, guests gathered, but Kit, who was meant to speak, was MIA. Lisa stepped up and gave an emotional tribute to Craig, acknowledging the courage and toll of policing. It was a mic-drop moment, wrapped in heartbreak.
Meanwhile, Betsy sneaked off home, rifled through the files, and snapped a photo of a letter before Carla caught her mid-snoop. Carla later learned the letter revealed Becky, Lisa’s late wife, had been under investigation for corruption. Lisa finally shared the truth: Becky hid the letter, they argued the night before her death, and Lisa never got the chance to make things right.
Lisa returned to work (of course she did) and confronted Kit about skipping the memorial with a stinging one-liner: ‘Have a mint.’ Later, she and Betsy had a touching scene where the teen assured her mum she didn’t need to know about her donor dad – Lisa was enough. Aww.
Back home, Lisa brought takeaway and cracked a joke, softening the tension. Carla’s wish for a ‘normal, boring, happy’ life was met with a smile.
But hold your tears – Betsy had other plans. She showed the Becky letter to Lauren, plotting a visit to the prison.

Friday 13th June 2025
On Friday the 13th, and it definitely wasn’t unlucky for Swarla, Carla and Lisa dove head-first into their next big step: house-hunting! The episode opened with the couple browsing properties online, and Lisa looking noticeably brighter after the emotional strain of Craig’s memorial.
Betsy appeared, though she was in full teenage evasive-mode, claiming she was lunching with Dylan, but really off scheming with Lauren. The girls slipped away to the prison to confront Logan Radcliffe, who was tied to both her mum Becky’s death and her boyfriend’s murder. Tense didn’t even begin to cover it.
Back home, Betsy came clean: she had been digging into her late mum’s mysterious past after uncovering that letter. Lisa defended herself, saying she was only trying to protect her from the same heartbreak she had endured 3½ years earlier.
After telling her daughter there would be no more secrets, Lisa encouraged Carla to tell Betsy the news about the house. She was thrilled, turns out she completely approved of a future under one roof. A cozy family moment capped it off: Lisa, Carla, and Betsy planning their future, while Lisa cast a fond side-eye to her girlfriend and daughter – like she was looking at the best possible tomorrow.

Monday 16th June 2025
After last week’s feel-good fluff, this episode took a sharp emotional turn as Lisa threw herself back into work. Carla woke up alone and was mid-voicemail when Lisa came home, revealing she’d been at the station since 6:30 a.m. digging into a cold case. Carla, secretly arranging a house viewing with Alya, asked Lisa if she’d be around, but Lisa seemed distracted, delegating all house matters to her.
While Carla and Alya waited at No.6, Lisa zoned out at the café. Daniel chatted with her about writing, but things took a turn when Brody barged in and deliberately spilled coffee on Daniel’s papers. Lisa, clearly on edge, overreacted. She grabbed Brody, slammed him onto the table, and arrested him, just as Carla walked in, unimpressed.
At the station, Brody refused to explain the white pills found in his pocket, so Lisa sent them for testing. Later, he asked for his medication, but Lisa, unsure of its purpose, walked away. He then had a seizure in his cell. Kit confronted Lisa with Daniel’s version of events and questioned her actions. Lisa insisted she believed the pills were drugs, not medication.
Back home, Lisa broke down to Carla, finally letting her walls down. Carla reassured her, but Lisa admitted she shouldn’t have arrested Brody. When asked if Craig’s death had reopened Becky-related trauma, Lisa initially denied it, then admitted it might have.
Summoned by her boss, Lisa learned the incident was under review. Costello, clearly worried about her mental health, put her on desk duty and ordered counselling. Despite her resistance, it was clear she needed it. He also revealed their long history and his desire to help before she burned out completely.

Lisa started off the episode unsure, staring at a flyer for the local Drag Night and telling Carla she wasn’t in the mood. Carla, ever the motivator, told her to ‘get your sexy bum in the shower… now,’ followed by a cheeky comment about getting her pom poms out – courtesy of brilliant writer Damon Alexis-Rochefort (also behind the iconic ‘don’t get dressed’ line).
The couple arrived at The Rovers looking stunning, blending perfectly into the glammed-up chaos of Glenda’s Drag Night. Carla sipped orange juice (new kidney responsibilities!), while Lisa went for wine. The vibes? Immaculate.
We got some heartwarming, hilarious moments: Carla dodging a label when asked if she was a lesbian, taking a fake shot (a genius improv by Alison King), and teasing Lisa about singing. Asha dragged Carla to dance, who in turn pulled Lisa up – pure joy.
Back at home, post-party cuddles turned serious as Lisa admitted she was ready to give therapy a proper go. Carla told her she was proud. It felt like a fresh start – for both of them.

Monday 23rd June 2025
Chaos, comedy, and a splash of parenting woes collided on the cobbles. Betsy was glamming up for what she claimed was a chill meet-up with a friend – totally legal, totally moral. Lisa, skeptical mum mode activated, wasn’t buying it. Meanwhile, Carla returned from a business meeting to a hyped Lisa, buzzing for a gig they’d been planning for ages. Betsy offered to lock up the factory for £20, prompting a reveal we were not expecting: she’s Lisa’s biological daughter. Cue the quote-off – Betsy with ‘you didn’t carry me,’ and Lisa clapping back with ‘my egg, no charge.’ Iconic.
Of course, Betsy ditched her lock-up duty and hit up Aadi’s party, where Brody brought liquid LSD like it was a BYOB. Nina, Summer, and Lauren took some, and Lauren wandered into the unlocked factory, while Carla and Lisa were summoned back by Rita’s eagle eye.
Back on the street, drunk teens tried (and failed) to distract them. Inside No.7, Lisa and Carla pieced together that Betsy hadn’t actually locked up. Carla planned to check the factory, but Lisa stopped her, too many near-death experiences to risk it again. Instead, Lisa, Carla, and Aadi went in where the latter found Lauren, tripping and terrified, believing Joel was there. Rock and roll night out? Canceled.

Wednesday 25th June 2025
The morning after the party at No.7 Coronation Street, Brian flagged down Carla to tell her he’d seen Aadi leading Lauren away from the factory the night before. Carla’s joke about dealing with a hungover teen had me smiling – teamwork makes the hangover dream work!
Carla was baffled why Lauren would be near the factory, but Lisa reminded her that seeing someone doesn’t mean they’re involved. Carla encouraged Lisa to sort Betsy’s greasy breakfast while she went to speak to Aadi.
At No.7, neither Aadi nor Asha would spill the tea. Aadi denied finding anyone in the factory, but Bernie accused him of involvement just as a rough-looking Lauren appeared, and promptly fainted.
At the hospital, Asha explained Lauren had a broken rib and ruptured spleen, but would recover. Lauren was confused why Carla was there, before sharing that she’d seen Joel, who’s dead, and she’d only had a few drinks. Carla quickly suspected Lauren’s drink was spiked, recalling her own terrifying experience with drugging.
Carla then visited Lisa at the police station, asking if Lauren could get a drug test. Lisa agreed, hoping it would help Lauren find answers. Back at the hospital, Lauren accepted the test. Looks like the Connor-Swain clan is ready to watch over Lauren and her baby, Frankie.
On the street, Lisa ordered Kit to interview the teens from the party, showing she’s still the boss even on desk duty.
