Well, we’ve known ‘Swarla Friday’s’ exist for a while now, but boy did this one deliver!
The episode opened with Lisa staring into space (almost breaking the fourth wall), when she was interrupted by Carla checking she was going to her therapy session, and Betsy asking to borrow £20. Standard teenager.

Betsy checked in with her mum, making she she would be okay considering it was her and Becky’s wedding anniversary, and she assured the teen she would be fine. Credit to Carla here for acknowledging that the date still is their wedding anniversary, and that just because a partner has died, doesn’t mean that date ceases to be important.

As Betsy went to leave the flat, she went over to Lisa and looked at the ring on her right hand. When Carla asked what was going on, Lisa explained it was Becky’s old wedding ring, and Carla looked very taken aback, having not realised that’s what it was.

We then saw Lisa head to therapy, where she admitted the reason she’d skipped the session the day before, and Floyd reinforced that anyone going through counselling sessions has to want to change before they start seeing results.
Whilst Lisa was in her session, Carla headed to the prison to visit Logan Radcliffe, in the hope he could shed some light on Becky for both Lisa and Betsy’s sakes. He asked for money, just like he did with Betsy when she went to visit him, but did end up giving Carla a name that she could do some digging on – Tia Wardley.

At the station, Lisa broke into Costello’s office in an effort to uncover any emails about Becky. He caught her and threatened her job, but eventually told her the allegations against Becky were a misunderstanding. Lisa got a shock before she left, though, when she noticed an email from Kit requesting to see Becky’s files.
At the factory, Carla called Lisa to find out about her therapy session, before searching the name Logan had given her.

Lisa found Kit drinking in the rovers, and confronted him about his interest in her wife. He told her Costello asked him to drop whatever it was he was doing, but Lisa threatened to come down hard on him if he so much as put a foot out of line as a police officer.

Back at the flat, Carla was packing more moving boxes while Lisa questioned her ability to work with Kit going forward, because she couldn’t be around people she couldn’t trust.
Betsy then came home with the flowers that Becky would buy to cheer her up (I wonder if that’s what she spent the £20 on?), and Carla offered to shout their pizza night dinner.

When she went to order, Lisa found her phone unusable, so asked to use Carla’s laptop, where she saw the search for the name Tia Wardley on the screen. Carla knew she needed to tell the truth, and admitted she had visited Logan as Lisa deserved answers, and she thought he might be able to help. Clearly angry at first, Lisa eventually relaxed and wondered if the reason they couldn’t find any info on Becky was because there was nothing to be found.

The episode ended with an incredibly significant moment. Lisa decided she no longer wanted to live in the past, and removed Becky’s wedding ring, proving to herself and Carla that she was ready for their future together. Cue the matching bath robes.
